Led by John Foletta, Ocean City strives to develop players' basketball IQ, playmaking ability, and leadership skills. In the past three years alone, Foletta has coached 21 Orange County league MVPs and more than 50 all-league selections. His 2017 17u Elite team reached the championship game of the nation’s premier AAU tournament, the Las Vegas Fab 48, defeating teams from Indiana, New Jersey, Nevada, Washington DC, and California along the way. Ocean City alumni include Joshua Ragsdale (Cal), Jacob Simon (Oregon State), Mehkel Harvey (William & Mary), Brian Smith (Portland), Zack Rollins (Montana State), Trey Anderson (Pt. Loma), Sebastian Castro (Hope International), Ryan Murunge (Skidmore), Raul Torres (CSU Fullerton), Solomon Davis (Westmont), Lachlan Viney (Hawaii Pacific), Zeke Quinlan (Jackson State), and others.
